This series of numisletters started in 1999 and the issue of 2007 are than the 9th in this series.

This letter consist of the 5 current coins issued in 2007. A special event for this coins are that 2007 is the first year that the Mint-master mark has not been used.

Tha stamp used is a miniblock issued in connection with the "International Polaryear". Norway is the only nation who are administrating land both in Arctic and Antarctic, and the Norwegian scientific work in these areas have a high standard and are highly respected.

The artist behind the stamp miniblock is the well known stamp- and coin engraver Sverre Morken. The stamps have been printed by Royal Joh. Enschede, Netherlands.
The cover has been cancelled in Oslo on the 31st December 2007.
