In addition to the 5 ordinary current coins issued in 2008, a commemorative 10-krone coin was issued 17th June to commemorate the 200 years birthday of Henrik Wergeland. The motif on this coin is Wergeland's famous glasses, which also can be read as the year 200.
The motif on the miniatyrsheet with the stamp is Dovrefjell (name of the mountain) with Harald Hårfagre (the viking king who gatherd Norway to one kingdom) and Snefrid (his wife).
The myth say that Dovrefjell is the origin of the Norwegians and the Norwegian kings. In 1814 the National Assembly at Eidswoll (when Norway got the Constitution) wrote: Enig og tro til Dovre faller" (United and faithfull until Dovre is falling). Henrik Ibsen's play "Peer Gynt" and Edvard Grieg's music "Dovregubbens Hall" has made the name of Dovre mountain famous all over the world.
