In September 2000 the Danish government published the sketches from Denmark's National Bank for the proposed Euro coins. INA has updated those official Euro sketches and are producing a set of pattern or prototype coins, showing how Denmark's currency could look.
The Little Mermaid and the crown of Denmark feature on the 1, 2 and 5 cent. Behind the mermaid is the Danish trading ship Viking. The scale of justice on reverse. The 10 cent to 2 Euro patterns have an uncrowned monarchic representation. The stylist dove on reverse of the 10, 20 and 50 cent coins symbolises peace.
In this collection reverse of the 1 and 2 Euro future a new version of a Scandinavian longboat reprecenting trade and exploration. The coins are struck at Birmingham Mint as for the UK Euro pattern). The coins are delivered in a deluxe case with certificate.
