2004 issues in the EUROPA SERIES (EURO-STAR SERIES)

The EUROPA coins from 2004 were issued to commemorate the extension of the European Union and to welcome the 10 new EU-states. For the first time ever in the European history all coins will depict a common emblem, the "Euro-Star".

In 2004, France, Belgium, The Netherlands, Spain, Portugal and Austria issued their coins with the Euro-Star, while Finland, Germany and Ireland also issued a commemorative coin in the series, without the Euro-Star.
