Treaty of Rome was signed 25th March 1957 between Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg, France, Italy and Germany and was in power from 1st January 1958. The Treaty of Rome has later been accepted by all members of Europeen Union (EU).

Germany has 5 different coin issuing places with different mintmarks (A-D-F-G-J) and this issue is therefore delivered as set of 5 coins.
