This is the last set issued in the Norwegn Numismatic History, Set no. 10.
This set contains the 5-kroner commemorative coin issued in 1991, to selibrate the 175 years jubilee for Norges Bank. Additionally it has the obverse and reverse copy of a specidaler issued in 1819 under Carl XIV Johan. The collecting of the "silvertax" started in 1817 to finance the founding of Norges Bank. This was a property tax which the landowners had to pay in accordance with the value of their properties. Many had to give away both heritage and old silver objects which were melted to make the basic founds in pure silver as a guarantee for the new monetary system. The first speciedaler in 25 years was issued in 1819, these were made from the metal collected as the "Silvertax".

Norwegian Numismatic History: V, The Gimsøy Daler.
The Gimsøy daler is Norway’s most sought after coin, known in only a few copies in private ownership, as well as a small number that are in the care of museums around the world.
The first Norwegian speciedalers (1544-1813) were minted at Gimsøy nunnery in Skien in 1546. Later that same year, the convent burned down and coin production was moved to Copenhagen. It was not until 1628 and the opening of the mint in Christiania that the speciedaler was again minted in Norway.
This pack contains a true replica of the original Gimsøy daler design, modeled by Ingrid Austlid Rise, with the portrait of king Christian III with crown and sceptre on the obverse and Norway’s heraldic lion on its reverse. Clad in patinated silver, this base metal medallion measures 39.0 mm and weighs 26.4 grams. The issue limit is 1,500 pcs.

Norwegian Numismatic History: VI, The Norwegian railway 150 yea
In connection with the 150 years anniversary for the Norwegian Railway, Norges Bank has issued a commemorative 20 kroner coin.
The sixth issue in the popular series from the Norwegian Numismatic History is covering the coins issued in 1854 and 2004 - the year to commemorate the railway. The set contains patinated silver obverse and reverse of the 12-skilling and the 24-skilling from 1854 - these are the only two coins issued in 1854. Additional the unsirkulated issue if the 20 kroner 2004.
Mintage are only 1500 sets.

Norwegian Numismatic History: VII, Speciedaler Christian IV.
The seventh issue from the series Norwegian Numismatic History" shows the first speciedaler minted in Norway after the discovery of silver in Kongsberg.
The first speciedaler minted in Norway was dated 1628 and described as "fine" speciedaler due to the high content of silver (969/1000).
This set contains silverplated and patinated obvers and reverscopies of the first speciedaler minted in Christiania in 1628.

The eight issue from the series Norwegian Numismatic History" shows the first series of coins issude under Kg. Olav V.
Mintage: 800 sets.
The series of coins with animal motifs were introduced in 1958, the year after Olav V became king. This series were received among people with a bit of reluctance. Earlier coins have always been with portrait of the king or his monogram and arms. These coins changed this rules and showed typical Norwegian animals as motifs, made by Per Palle Storm. The set concist of seven coins from 1-øre to 1-krone.
