RM 1.00 (1943) - GERMANY - Konzentrationslager Sachsenhausen
Sachsenhausen was the successor camp to Oranienburg, located near Berlin. The camp was established in 1938. The first barrack was built by fifty prisoners from Esterwegen. Eventually a gas chamber called station Z was established at the camp. The amazing counterfeiting schemes, Operation Andrew and Bernhard, took place here. The camp was liberated in May 1945.
This note has a name and probably the prisoner no. for the camp Grini (4231) in Norway and Sachsenhausen (72026)
