Island Creek Stores Co. was a supply company for The Arctic Coal Company. This company (The Arctic Coal Company) was an American company on Svalbard, sold to Store Norske Spitsbergen Kulkompani in 1916.These cupons have been unknown among collectors until recently. In 2005 and 06 some few known booklets were the basic for the prices in the catalog "Norwegian Banknotes with Svalbard and Bjørnøya, 1695-2005"A booklet (letter A) consist of 6 values and total 25 dollars.Size: 25 x 67 mm, uniface.
WARNING!Lately a considerably amount of these 25 dollars booklets have appeard on the market, sold both on QXL and through others. Please, be aware of that the prices given in the catalog no longer is valid. I will recommand not to buy these booklets until a new price indication has been worked out.
