25 Riksdaler 1695 - NORWAY - Thor Møhlen, no. 187b, only talon
This is one of the first notes issued in Norway, by Jørgen thor Møhlen. Normally the notes was parted in two before issueing, the talon was kept in the bank, to prove the note which was delivered to the bank was genuine by putting the two parts together:
A total of 1000 notes of the 25 Rd. were issued, but only 400 notes were put into circulation. The note is uniface, but have handwritten no. and value on back.
This talon is mounted in a nice booklet with picture of a complete note with explanation why it was parted in two and a short story about thor Møhlen.
