10 Kroner 1940 - NORWAY - Stord Herad, Emergency issue
When Norway was occupied by the Germans in April 1940, the island Stord became isolated from mainland. The need for various suppy and for money was raised very soon. The local administration decided to print their own money in denomination 1, 2, 5 and 10 kroner. The notes were printed on colourd paper of low quality with picture of Leirvik (the administration center) on back. These notes sirculated untill 1st March 1941 and were by than redeemed after order from Norges Bank.
